Common Questions About Clear Braces

Do Clear Braces Take Longer?

No. Ceramic braces are designed to work just as efficiently as metal braces. If ceramic braces are a good fit for your treatment you won’t see any difference in time in braces from metal braces.

Do Clear Braces Cost More?

At our office we do not have an additional fee for the use of clear braces instead of metal for patients over 18. For younger patients there is a fee, but whatever the best option for treatment and that fits your budget is what we are going to recommend.

Do I have to put colored rubber bands on my clear braces?

Not if you don’t want to! Our patients have the option of decorating their braces with colors or leaving them clear. It’s completely up to the patient. The ceramic braces look great with colors added to them. But if you are looking for something more discreet leaving them clear is a great option.

Are Clear Braces More Brittle?

Technically they are a little more brittle.  This is not dangerous at all. The molding process used in Clarity Advanced braces makes them the strongest ceramic braces we’ve ever used.
